Make-up Orientation:
There will be a makeup orientation on Wednesday, March 26 at the Graduate School:

The workshop is for F-1 students who did not attend the Spring 2008 orientation, or who missed the makeup orientation on February 27, 2008. Those students who feel lost or uncertain about their immigration status are also invited to attend.

F-1 Employment Workshops:
The workshops will be held in the Computer Science Wireless Room 2311:

January 30 (1 to 2 pm)
February 5 (10 am to 11:00)*
February 7 (2 to 3 pm)
February 18 (2 to 3 pm)
March 12 (1 to 2 pm)
April 1 (10 am to 11am)
April 16 (1 to 2 pm)

*Workshop will be held in Room 2129.

The workshops are for F-1 students who wish to work in the US, either before but especially after graduation and students who wish to work off campus on an internship for academic credit.

N/B: STUDENTS MUST ATTEND AT LEAST ONE WORKSHOP before submitting an OPT OR CPT application.


IRS Tax Workshop:

This workshop is geared towards International students who are employed
and require information on how to file their tax returns. Tax Returns must be filed by April 15th.

The workshops will be held in the SAC Room 306 on:

February 4, Monday (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
February 11, Monday (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
March 10, Monday (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM)*
March 17, Monday (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
April 14, Monday (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM)**


* For Scholars on J-1 Visa.
**Workshop will be held in SAC Ballroom B


Please note that you must bring with you your passport and W-2 or 1042 S Form. It is important that you arrive by 10:15 a.m. The IRS Representatives will not be able to help students who arrive late.
